Dominic Wooding’s undefeated steak continued at WCMMA 11, defeating Edward Fairburn to improve his record 4-0 as a semi professional and capturing the WCMMA Flyweight belt in the process.
Revgear Europe caught up with Dom: “Before the fight I felt so ready, I was confident in my abilities, I knew knew my training had been fantastic and I was feeling sharp and dynamic and couldn’t wait to get into the cage. Once the fight started I made sure I was relaxed, kept calm and my emotions under control.”
The fight would play out with Wooding winning the stand up for large portions of the fight, but mixing in take downs, ground and pound and submissions to keep Fairburn guessing, it was a dominant win with Wooding dictating the pace and where the fight took place.
“I was so glad to win the fight and the belt, it’s awesome to have the Flyweight belt around my waist, because I trained real hard for that fight, and it paid off with the result. I’m now 4-0 as a semi pro and can’t wait to defend the belt and see what the future holds for me!”
