Lanchana has been training and competing since the age of 6. Gymnastics was where she began before she progressed into martial arts aged 15 at DBMA with Paul Hamilton.
Muay Thai took Lanchana competing internationally with her most notable opponents being Iman Barlow and Karla Benitez. She has also spent time training in Thailand at the world famous WMC camp in Koh Samui but admits her favourite Thai trainer is Suthat Muangman (Aka Gae) who is now at Elite Fight Club in Bangkok. Gae helped prepare Lanchana to win the Northern Area Title back in 2010.
Lanchana then progressed further into her martial arts journey starting up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and earning her blue belt under Martin Wilby in 2014. Earlier that year she decided to make the transition to professional MMA where she took on 8 x world jiujitsu champ Michelle Nicolini which was an exciting bout for both North East and women’s MMA. Lanchana has always sought out help and guidance from knowledgable coaches and has had the pleasure of training with Rosi Sexton, Vanessa English, Pete Irving and Karl Tanswell. In 2015 she branched out a little further making the trip to LA to train at GFC fight club home to Ronda Rousey and Freddie Roach’s Wildcard gym.
Both Lanchana and her head coach Martin Wilby now run The Lab martial arts gym in their home town which she represents, however she is also part of North East Vale Tudo fighters from the North East.
Lanchana is the now a current contestant on season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter where she is competing for the now infamous UFC contract and is stoked to have joined REVGEAR EUROPE.
