Saul Rogers Braveheart in Glasgow ACB – Updated another RND1 Victory

Last year Saul Rogers looked like he was set to be the UK's latest UFC star as he tore through his opposition during TUF22 under the guidance of fellow SBG Fighter the Notorious Conor McGregor alongside his long term coach at SBG Manchester Karl Tanswell making it to the final and hotly tipped to win.  When trouble with his Visa application derailed his UFC Train Saul needed to re focus and do what he does best. Out of a long line of suitors came ACB a Russian organisation with a background in Kickboxing who are putting on shows in Europe that gives the young Rogers the ideal platform to show the world his credentials on the world MMA stage regardless of which organisation he fights in.  Signing a...

Revgear UFC London

In September 2004 I was in London with my team to corner a fight at Cage Rage 8 and was fortunate enough to meet a man who was to become one of the UFC's all time great Champions in Anderson Silva when he headlined the show against Lee Murray.  Twelve years on Anderson maybe will hope for some Deja Vu tonight against fellow Cage Rage Veteran Mike Bisping whose rise through the ranks of firstly the British scene including his pro debut at Pride & Glory 2 in Newcastle Upon Tyne where I first met Mike again in 2004.  Both these men and the sport of MMA have come a very long way in that time both worldwide and in Europe and guys like Anderson and...

Challenger a Hit for the Hangman Saul…

TUF Guy Saul Rogers excellent run in the Ultimate Fighter competition followed by the unfortunate anti climax of missing the final has had the whole of the UK MMA public screaming at UFC president Dana White via social media to place him on the London UFC Fight Night in February after an problem with his visa prevented the amiable Manchester based fighter from taking his hard won spot in the final of TUF 22 earlier this month. The eventual TUF 22 Winner; American Ryan Hall was beaten by Rogers soundly early on in the competition so the voices on this side of the pond are crying out to see what could well be viewed by many as the REAL TUF finale on the #UFCLondon card in February 2016 however Saul…

Its on....Jimi Manuwa UFC LONDON! London's UFC Card in February 2016 would not have been complete without the @posterboyjm  Jimi Manuwa on it. Alex Enlund Victorious Against Blackzilian Rafael

Team Revgear Europe’s Alex Enlund added another impressive win to his resume this past weekend at Phoenix Fight Nights in Bournemouth, scoring a TKO win over WEC and Bellator veteran Rafael Dias, who represents the Blackzilians team in Florida, USA. Enlund pushed his professional record to 13-2 with 12 victories inside the distance, and that includes his current win streak of six straight successful outings. Before the contest, Enlund told Revgear Europe, “I will walk away with another win on Saturday night.” He did just that, and continued to showcase just how high level his MM grappling game is. BJJ black belt Dias had no answer for Enlund’s offense, and ultimately stopped due to an injury. Made some mistakes but I dominated against an experienced…

UFC adds Mike Wilkinson to London Card

Mike Wilkinson UFC
Revgear Europe's Mike Wilkinson had his next UFC outing confirmed by the promotion earlier today, and it's a grudge match that will see him square off against "Mr Finland", Makwan Amirkhani. The featherweight encounter will take place at UFC London, which is held at the O2 Arena on February 27th. The event will be headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Gegard Mousasi. Wilkinson (9-1) has been out of action since October of last year with injuries keeping him from gracing the Octagon. However, his last victory was a pertinent one as he knocked out Nicklas Backstrom to take the KO of the Night honours in his opponent's native land. Backstrom is a training partner of Amirkhani (12-2), and therefore there's team pride on the line as they...
